Have you ever taken a file from your server, opened it up and there are a ton of blank lines between all your lovely code? This is one of those really annoying things that you have absolutely no control over, but there is a quick fix, not perfect but it will make your code workable again.

1. Obvious but, open the file in Dreamweaver.
2. Press Ctrl+F (to find and replace)
3. Find in: Make sure you select the correct files under this section.
4. Search: Source Code.
5. Find: [rn]{2,}
6. Replace: n
7. Options: Use regular expression
8. If this is all present and correct, click Replace All

To preserve code added to a comment you can wrap your code in short tags
by using [square brackets]:

1. PHP use -
<?php code here ?>
2. CSS use - [css] #code-here {} [/css]
3. HTML use -
<div> code here </div>
4. JS use - [js] $(".codeHere") [/js]
